Invitation: Inaugural Historic Harlem Fundraising Halloween Party

Sponsor: Save Harlem Now! (SHN!)

Save Harlem Now!, uptown preservation advocates seeking to protect Harlem’s architectural and cultural heritage, extend an invitation to enjoy its inaugural Historic Harlem Fundraising Halloween Party, a fun evening of drinks and great food, courtesy of Harlem Shake and Corner Social, and dancing to magically eclectic sounds of DJ Ernesto Johnson. This event will be held at 113 West 119th Street, a local landmarked brownstone that is home to Dennis Decker. RSVP here!

Come dressed as your favorite Harlem habitue or personality, past or present, from George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Madame Jumel, Rose Kennedy, A’Lelia Walker, Langston Hughes, Cary Grant, Josephine Baker or Zora Neal Hurston, to Bill Clinton, Whoopi Goldberg, Puff Daddy, Lil’ Kim, Princess Turin and Taxis or Billy Dee Williams! Alternately, just be a Harlem flapper, gangster, swing dancer or star. In Harlem, the possibilities are endless!

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes in three categories, most original, most faithful, and most beautiful.

Springtime awards for 20 years of outstanding preservation projects will be announced!

Admission: $100.00 per person, $150.00 per couple

RSVP Required.

Space is limited to 200

Reserve your space early to be a part of the celebration!
